Despite scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, August’s Art Walk at the Wynwood Arts District raged from early in the evening -- food-truck patrons and art enthusiasts filled the streets since 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11. Simultaneously, Gil Kaplan and David Sadkin’s first Bacchanalia, a food and wine event with art auctions for charity, struggled to reel in the throngs from the streets and into their space on NW 24 Street and Second Avenue. For a first-time event, the Bacchanalia drew a large crowd, but the real hustle and bustle remained along NW Second Avenue, where food trucks, beer carts and flashy costumes caught most people’s attention.
