Chicago Fire: The holiday is hardly dull for the firefighters in this new episode where following a kitchen blaze in a swanky home an expensive necklace is missing and the rescuers are suspect. Jesse Spencer, David Eigenberg, Lauren German and Taylor Kinney star (10 p.m. NBC).

Cheer Perfection: At he start of a new cheerleading season two ultra-competitive moms try to get their daughter on Alisha Dunlap’s elite team in the season premiere (10 p.m. TLC).

A Home for the Holidays With Rascal Flatts: The country-music group hosts the annual special, showcasing stories of adoption from foster care. “The X Factor” alum Rachel Crow performs and also talks about her own experience. The Year With Katie Couric: This new special recaps notable stories and personalities of the last 12 months. Expect to hear about Hurricane Sandy, the events that led Gen. David Petraeus to resign from his CIA job and the school shootings in Newtown, Conn. (9:30 p.m. ABC).
