Metal-and-mesh threeASFOUR costume worn by Lady Gaga up for bid

An elaborate costume worn by Lady Gaga for a Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot is on the online auction block, according to the folks at the Nate D. Sanders auction house.

Lot number 352, designed by design collective threeASFOUR and donned by Gaga for a photo shoot for the magazine’s March 2014 issue is described as a “[o]ne-piece item [that] consists of a stretchy power mesh bodysuit in flesh tone, adorned with clusters of large triangular sequins in mirrored metal along the chest, arms and front of the thighs. Garment features a built-in cowl hat upper and full gloves. Stainless steel laser cutout mesh pieces wrap around the head, shoulders and arms. Bodysuit is a size 4 and zips up the back. Some sequin loss, else near fine.”

According to the listing this is actually the second time this Gaga get-up has been put up for auction as its provenance is listed coming from the singer’s recent Born This Way Foundation charity auction. It appears to be same item described in this Ebay listing that went for $3,839 when the digital gavel came down on Feb. 28.

That would make the listed opening bid of $12,500 for the auction, which is scheduled to end at 5 p.m. PDT Tuesday, April 29, a fairly ambitious one.

As of this writing an opening bid doesn’t appear to have been placed.
