Tie Bar and Joe’s Jeans launch summery denim neck knots

Share

Thanks to a new mini capsule collection from Chicago-based neckwear e-tailer the Tie Bar, you can wear the latest denim washes from L.A.’s Joe’s Jeans -- around your neck.

The pre-tied cotton/linen blend neck knots retail for $25 each and come in three styles; the Venice, a lightweight denim woven with natural and blue-gray yarns in an open twill weave and bleach-faded to a light blue hue; the Izumi, a gray-washed Japanese denim with a vertical blue-and-white selvedge-stripe detail; and the Ruka, a slightly darker blue version with the same selvedge stripe.

While it’s the first high-summer-worthy offering from the collaboration, it certainly isn’t the first fruit of the partnership. Other collaborative efforts include dark-washed, raw denim bow ties, reversible polka dot and plaid versions, pocket squares and even a few long ties. Pieces from the new and previous collections can be found at both joesjeans.com and thetiebar.com.

Apparently the collaboration evolved after company principals were introduced at the Project Las Vegas apparel trade show in 2013.

Which, if nothing else, proves that that not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
