Stash those muted eye shadows and barely there lip glosses. For this holiday season, beauty brands want shoppers to forget subtle and embrace gloss, glitz and shimmer — with products often in gift-ready packaging.
From micro-tubs of frosted eye creams to lip colors in metallic mauve, it’s the season of bling in beauty.
MAC Cosmetics X Mariah Carey: If Mariah Carey is going to put her name on a makeup line, don’t expect it to be a low-key affair. For her collaboration with MAC, the diva songstress went for having touches such as a butterfly insignia (her favorite winged insect) on lipsticks and a shimmering loose powder called Touch My Body, a nod to her hit song. The collection, which ranges from $18 to $59.50, is available online now and in MAC stores from Dec. 15 to Jan. 26, 2017. maccosmetics.com
