Tanzy wine dinner, $1 pizza at South End, brunch at Fifty Seven

Tanzy Westwood will partner with the St. Supery Estate today to offer a five-course Italian farm-to-table menu with wine pairings. Chef Bryan Podgorski’s dishes include heirloom tomato salad, pan-seared sardines, baked cannelloni and more. Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. and is $100 per person. South End in Venice is celebrating its one year anniversary Sunday with $1 pies. The $1 pies include the Cabrillo with crushed Roma tomatoes, Fresno chiles, red onions and marjoram, the Ghostown with heirloom cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fontina, garlic and thyme, the High Sign with Nueske smoked bacon, fresh mozzarella, fontina and thyme and more. Fifty Seven will start serving weekend brunch Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu will include a rosemary sticky bun with pine nuts and plum preserves, an orange blossom brioche with house Greek yogurt and grated almonds, the smashed Sierra Gold potatoes with smoked Munak Ranch tomatoes, arugula, salsa verde and two fried or poached eggs, griddle cakes and more. For $16 you can order bottomless rose or a build-your-own michelada kit for two. Additional cocktails, wines, fresh juices and Clover cold pressed juices will also be available. 712 S.
