Tour homes inside one of Pasadena’s oldest and quaintest neighborhoods

Tour one of Pasadena’s oldest and quaintest neighborhoods at the 10th annual Garfield Heights Historic Home Tour on Dec. 4.

Located northeast of Pasadena’s Old Town, the landmark district features a variety of architectural styles built between 1880 and 1930 including English Tudor, Spanish Revival and California Craftsman.

Tourgoers will be invited inside six homes during the event including a 1911 Chalet-style Craftsman by noted architect Sylvanus Marston (pictured above), a 1910 Craftsman and a completely restored wood-frame cottage that was originally built for $1,700 in 1905.

The home tour will also feature local vendors, including the Gamble House Bookstore, Batchelder reproduction tiles, and window restoration specialists as well as studio visits with Garfield Heights artists.

When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4

Where: Day of event tickets can be purchased at 1147 N. Marengo Ave., Pasadena

Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 on Dec. 4, children 10 and under, free; www.garfieldheights.org
