Noreen Halpern, executive producer of HBO’s “Hung,” and her husband, Kevin Murphy, the Emmy-winning writer and producer of “Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical,” have listed their Hollywood Hills home at $1,195,000.

The English country-style home, built in 1927, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,736 square feet. There are coved ceilings, small-pane windows and two fireplaces. A walled brick courtyard, a spa and mature fruit trees are among the outdoor features.

The couple purchased the house in 2004, a few months before they were married. “It was the first house we both fell in love with,” Murphy said. “It looks like a woodland cottage from the street, but once you get closer, it’s an enormous multilevel home with a canyon view and a double lot.”

The house has been the site of outdoor parties and catered dinners. “It’s an amazing entertainer’s home,” Murphy said. But he is particularly struck by the grounds, which he described as “tranquil and visually stunning, especially at night.”

They are selling because they bought a larger home with a pool and guesthouse to accommodate their growing family.

“We love the Hollywood Hills, so we’re only moving four minutes away,” Murphy said. The pair purchased bestselling biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli’s 4,557-square-foot Spanish-style compound in May for $3.1 million.

Halpern, 44, is executive producer of the upcoming TV series “Shattered” (2009) and “Copper” (2010).

In addition to his work on “Reefer Madness” (2005), Murphy, 42, has been a writer and producer for “Desperate Housewives” (2004-07), among other televisions shows. He is working on adapting the movie “Heathers” into a musical.

The listing agent is Frank Bruno of Keller Williams Realty Sunset.
