EQUESTFEST
Dec. 29: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Get up close and personal with many of the equestrians appearing in the 2011 Rose Parade. At this event, the horses and their riders will display their abilities in drills and trick riding. After the show, guests can stroll through the stables to talk to and take photos with the performers. There will be continuous entertainment along with a variety of exhibits, music, food and beverages. The show begins at noon rain or shine.

Location: Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Drive, Burbank.

Admission: $15; free for children 5 and under. Advance tickets are available through Sharp Seating Co. at 626.795.4171. The box office opens at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the event.

BANDFEST
Dec. 29: 2 - 4:30 p.m.

Bandfest features the award-winning bands of the 2011 Rose Parade performing the field shows that made them famous. Three shows over two days give the public a chance to see these musicians, dancers and other performers in action. For a band show schedule, visit www.tournamentofroses.com.

Location: Robinson Stadium at Pasadena City College, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena

Parking: Free at Parking Structure 4 (enter from Del Mar Avenue, near the corner of Hill Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena).

Experience the magic of the floats before they make their debut in the 2011 Rose Parade. Get a backstage glimpse of the floral floats in their final stages of preparation at the three locations shown above. Guests will see a variety of fruits, seeds, bark, grasses and flowers being applied to the floats by professionals and volunteers.

Admission: $10; free for children 5 and under. Advance tickets are available through Sharp Seating Co. at 626.795.4171. Ticket sales may stop if venues reach capacity.

ROSE BOWL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY
Dec. 30: noon - 1:30 p.m.

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses will honor the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame Class of 2010 at this luncheon. Attendees will watch the three newest members join a group of legendary football greats during the induction ceremony and press conference that will follow.

Location: Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green St., Pasadena.

ROSE BOWL GAME KICKOFF LUNCHEON

The Kickoff Luncheon is a pep rally featuring ESPN sportscasters as they present the university coaches, athletes, marching bands and the pep squads of the teams participating in the 97th Rose Bowl game. Honored guests include the Rose Queen with her Royal Court and the 2010 Rose Bowl Hall of Fame inductees.

Location: Pavilion tent at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Lot K, Pasadena.

Admission: $90.

Parking: Free in Lot K.

122nd ROSE PARADE
Jan. 1: 8 a.m.

The 122nd Rose Parade, themed “Building Dreams, Friendships & Memories,” on New Year’s Day will feature majestic floats, high-stepping equestrians and spirited marching bands. Enjoy the sights, smells and sounds in person as the units parade down the 5½-mile route.

Admission: No charge for curbside viewing in designated areas. Grandstand tickets available through Sharp Seating Co., 626.795.4171.

97th ROSE BOWL GAME
Jan. 1: 1:30 p.m. (pre-game activities)

In another timeless New Year’s tradition, the Rose Bowl Game will feature an exciting matchup between two of the top teams in the nation, showcasing the best of collegiate football.

Post Parade is an opportunity to get a close-up view of the Rose Parade floats after they have made their New Year’s Day appearance on Colorado Boulevard. Please allow two hours to see the display. Due to the popularity of this event, early arrival is suggested.

Location: End of the parade route on Sierra Madre Boulevard, Pasadena.

Admission: $10; free for children 5 and under. Ticket sales end at 2:30 p.m.; venue closes at 5 p.m. Advance tickets are available through Sharp Seating Co., 626.795.4171.

Parking: Use of the Park-n-Ride shuttle is recommended as street parking is extremely limited. Shuttle fare is $3 per person, round- trip; children 5 and under ride free. Shuttles are available at Pasadena City College, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd.; Community Education Center, 3035 E. Foothill Blvd., and the Rose Bowl Stadium Lot H (Jan. 2 only).
