Feeling trapped in Los Angeleaves

We visited my friend's cabin in the desert

I take a deep breath

We go on a hike

First we talk but once we are silent we hear more

My worries melt away in the heat

I start to feel a sense of hope

At first this landscape seemed harsh, yet there is so much life

If these plants can weather the burning sun then I can weather my own storm

Sometimes all you need to do is be quiet and listen
