Sunset Junction Street Fair: An article in the Aug. 26 Calendar section about the cancellation of the Sunset Junction Street Fair identified Joe Keeper of the Bar Keeper shop as Joe Barkeeper. Additionally, the article said that Bar Keeper is a bar and glassware shop. It is a glassware shop, not a bar.
Asteroid: An article in the Aug 26 Section A about dust collected from the asteroid Itokawa suggested that this particular asteroid was the source of many of the meteorites that have landed on Earth. In fact, the research showed that the most common type of meteorites originated from stony asteroids that are in the same class as Itokawa, and that a small portion of them may have broken off from Itokawa itself.
Hewlett-Packard: An Aug. 19 article in the Business section about Hewlett-Packard Co.’s plans to exit the personal computer business misspelled the last name of HP’s chief executive. He is Leo Apotheker, not Apothecker.
