Buy Here Pay Here dealers: An article in the June 1 Business section about legislation affecting Buy Here Pay Here used-car dealers said that a bill approved by the California Senate would cap interest rates charged by such dealers at 17.25%. In fact, the bill would cap the rate at 17% plus the federal funds rate, which is now 0.25%.

Ken McRoyal: An article in the June 3 California section about the life of University of Idaho football player Ken McRoyal, who was killed two days after returning home to Carson for the summer, referred to his father as “absentee.” His father, who worked abroad for many years, raised McRoyal in his early childhood and had remained in touch with McRoyal.

Energy efficiency: An article in the June 1 Business section about the California Energy Commission’s stricter standards for new construction misidentified the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute trade group as the American Heating and Refrigeration Institute. In addition, the commission said the group opposed the new standards. The organization said it did not oppose the rules.
