Top movies of 2013: In the Calendar section elsewhere in this edition, critic Kenneth Turan’s list of top films of 2013 misidentifies the star of “Inside Llewyn Davis” as Jason Isaacs. The actor’s name is Oscar Isaac. The error was discovered after the section went to press.

Patty Murray: In the Dec. 15 Section A, an article profiling Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and her leading role in negotiating a budget accord in Congress said that she had previously led the Senate’s Democratic majority to approve the chamber’s first budget without dissenting votes in four years. Four Democrats voted no.

Genetic testing: In the Dec. 15 Business section, a column about the genetic testing company 23andMe misstated Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s risk of Parkinson’s disease. Although researchers differ, Brin’s genetic profile suggests that his lifetime risk of acquiring the disease is at least 15 times that of the general public, not 1.3 to 1.75 times. The column also said that a letter from the Food and Drug Administration instructing the firm to submit information on the analytical or clinical validity of its genetic tests and to seek the FDA’s approval was sent in June. The letter was dated June 10, 2010, not last June.

Sports nicknames: In the Dec. 15 Sports section, a chart of team nicknames that accurately reflect the team’s location said the New York Islanders will no longer play on Long Island after next season when the team relocates to Brooklyn. Brooklyn is at the western end of Long Island.

College football: A photo caption that accompanied a column in the Dec. 15 Sports section referred to Boston College’s Andre Williams as a quarterback. He is a running back.
