Paul Blair obituary: In the Dec. 28 LATExtra section, the obituary of Baltimore Orioles center fielder Paul Blair said that Earl Weaver managed the 1966 and 1970 World Series-winning teams. Hank Bauer was manager in 1966. Weaver replaced Bauer in 1968.

Kenneth Schechter obituary: In the Dec. 22 California section, the obituary of Kenneth Schechter, a former Navy pilot who flew 100 miles and landed safely despite being temporarily blinded by enemy fire, misstated the final rank of Howard Thayer, the Navy pilot who guided Schechter from another plane. Thayer was a lieutenant commander, not a lieutenant colonel, when he died in 1961.

Marshall Anderson obituary: In the Dec. 22 California section, the obituary of Marshall “Andy” Anderson, an LAPD deputy chief who criticized the conduct of two officers who shot and killed Eulia Love, a black woman, in 1979, said that both of those officers were white. One of the officers was black.

Union Station homeless: In the Dec. 22 California section, an article about efforts to keep homeless people from camping out at L.A.’s Union Station identified the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority as the L.A. County Housing Services Authority.

Obama conspiracy theories: In the Dec. 13 Section A, an article about conspiracy theories involving whether President Obama was born in the U.S. said that some people had focused on his college transcripts in hopes of proving he had applied for admission as a foreign student. “He had not,” the article said. It should have said that there is no evidence that he had done so
