Dana Point officials Thursday offered a $10,000 reward for help in finding the hit-and-run driver who seriously injured two joggers last weekend.

“It’s awesome that they would even think of doing that,” said Craig Daniel, whose wife, Carol, a mother of three, remained in critical condition at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.

Carol Daniel, 41, and three other San Clemente women were jogging along Coast Highway in Dana Point on Saturday when Daniel and Stacy Neria, 34, were hit by the driver of a 1981 Buick Park Avenue.

Daniel, whose injuries include a broken neck, is breathing with the aid of a ventilator. Neria broke both legs and her pelvis and is in serious condition.

Authorities are seeking William Todd Bradshaw, 37, the car’s owner, for questioning. The car was found abandoned about a mile from the accident.

Bradshaw has lived in several Southern California cities, including Long Beach, said Jim Amormino, an Orange County sheriff’s spokesman.

“We believe he’s a transient, but he is known in the San Clemente area,” Amormino said. “If it was Bradshaw, he severely injured two mothers with six children and horribly affected their families. My message to his friends and family is to tell him to do the right thing and give himself up.”
