The quad between the high school and elementary schools at the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools campus. The complex was built on the site of the former Ambassador Hotel, where Kennedy gave his primary victory speech and then was assassinated. Built at a cost of more than $578 million, the campus of six separate schools is the L.A. Unified School District's most expensive.
