Although it’s impossible to tell whether this waiter is walking to or from work, perhaps it doesn’t truly matter — the mystery and the bustling downtown Los Angeles scene pull together to form a portrait of a vibrant city on the move.
“I’ve done a lot of these ‘crosswalk’ images the past few years,” wrote the photographer, Greg Keating, in an email. “They encapsulate the hubbub of the city in a way, but also isolate small details and/or brief moments, in perpetuity.”
