Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Marina del Rey
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Friday morning near Marina del Rey, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:48 a.m. PST at a depth of 6.2 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was two miles from Santa Monica and four miles from Culver City.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
