Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near East Quincy, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Monday evening three miles from East Quincy, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 8:29 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0.6 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 31 miles from Susanville, Calif., 39 miles from Magalia, Calif., 42 miles from Paradise, Calif., and 81 miles from Carson City, Nev.

In the last 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
