Earthquake: 3.4 quake strikes near East Foothills, Calif.
A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Thursday evening four miles from East Foothills, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:12 p.m. at a depth of 3.7 miles.
According to the geological survey, the epicenter was four miles from Alum Rock, Calif., eight miles from San Jose, nine miles from Milpitas, Calif. and 84 miles from Sacramento.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
