$1.3 million in cocaine found hidden in trunk of car
Huntington Beach police on Tuesday seized $1.3 million in cocaine hidden in the trunk of a car that had been pulled over for a routine traffic violation, authorities said.
Officers said they found roughly 27 kilograms of packaged cocaine tucked in the space of the Nissan Sentra where the spare tire would normally be stored.
Panorama City residents Antonio Tzampop, 44, and Jose Campos, 39, were booked on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance, according to a press release.
Police said the cocaine was located by a canine officer and his drug-sniffing dog, Bohdy.
