A Hemet couple was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of forcing a teenage girl into prostitution.

Dontae Lamar Wade, 33, and Precious Janinetternal Powers, 30, were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking, pimping a minor and conspiracy, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The county’s Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force received a tip on May 12 about the possible sexual exploitation of the girl.

Wade and Power reportedly took the girl to San Bernardino and Santa Ana, where she was forced to perform sex acts for money numerous times, according to the department’s statement.

Authorities said they arrested the couple after searching their home in the 1100 block of Rosalia Avenue in Hemet.

At the home, an 18-year-old female told police she began working as a prostitute for the couple at 17, authorities said.
