Suspect arrested in alleged sexual assault of Topanga mall worker
A Lancaster man has been arrested in the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman after she left work at the Westfield Topanga Mall on July 4, L.A. police said Friday.
Kioki Ray Snowden, 19, was taken into custody Thursday and his bail was set at $1 million, authorities said. Police searched his home, where they collected evidence, they said.
Snowden allegedly confronted the 19-year-old woman “as she stood near her car in the parking lot” of the Canoga Park mall, according to a news release from the LAPD.
He then allegedly forced her into her car at knifepoint and held her hostage for three hours, police said.
Snowden sexually assaulted the woman, robbed her and gained access to her bank account, police said.
