Reader photo: South of SoCal
Occasionally we feature a photo because it showcases a spot in Southern California that we don’t see in many of our other submissions. (Downtown L.A.’s a lovely place, but please, send us some photos from other parts of the southern half of the state!)
So in an attempt to diversify our offerings a little, here’s a photo from slightly outside the actual Southern California region. It’s of a movie studio right along the coast near Rosarito, Mexico. (Seems like an appropriate connection to L.A.)
The photo was taken by Brian McStotts, who took it from his moving car on a drive south to a favorite surfing spot. He says he used a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 18-200mm zoom lens.
Each week, we’re featuring photos of Southern California submitted by readers. Share your photos on our Flickr page or reader submission gallery. Follow us on Twitter or visit latimes.com/socalmoments for more on this photo series.
