Four masked men tie up, rob Palos Verdes Estates couple, police say

A couple was tied up and robbed at gunpoint by four men who broke into their Palos Verdes Estates home Saturday night, authorities said.

Police were alerted to a home invasion robbery at about 8 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of Lower Paseo La Cresta. Four masked men had entered the home and tied up the two residents, according to the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.

The four robbers then searched the home for about 30 minutes before fleeing the area. After they left, the two residents were able to free themselves and call 911. One was slightly injured from being tied up, police said.

The crime is under investigation, and it is unknown at this time whether the couple was specifically targeted or chosen at random.
