The son of a veteran Orange County firefighter has been arrested for allegedly sparking three brush fires, authorities said Monday afternoon.
Gabriel Michael Castillo, 19, is accused of arson in connection with the three blazes that broke out last week east of Yorba Linda, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The fires did not cause any injuries or damage to structures.
Authorities said Castillo is the son of an 18-year veteran of the Orange County Fire Authority who is stationed in Santa Ana.
Castillo, who lives in Anaheim Hills, was booked into county jail.
Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at (714) 647-7000.
