Cooler temperatures, maybe drizzle expected for Southern California
At last, Southern Californians will get a break from the heat, the National Weather Service says.
Two weather patterns moving over the area are expected to bring thick fog, low clouds and maybe even drizzle to the Los Angeles coastline and valleys by the weekend, said National Weather Service specialist Stuart Seto.
“It’s going to be cooler all this week,” Seto said.
Temperatures across the board will be below average going into next week.
The coast and downtown will be in the lower 80s to upper 70s by the weekend, with temperatures a few degrees warmer in the San Gabriel and San Fernando valleys.
Desert cities, such as Lancaster, will be in the mid-90s most of the week before a slight drop Saturday, Seto said.
