11 stuck on Universal Studios’ Transformers ride
A total of 11 people were stuck Monday morning in a car on the Universal Studios’ Transformers ride, but the remaining few were being helped to an exit, said Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
The fire department received a call about the incident at 9:10 a.m. Monday, said spokeswoman Ebony Williams. They arrived on the scene at 9:16 a.m.
One car of the themed indoor ride had gotten stuck in an elevated position due to technical difficulties, said Tony Akins, an inspector with the department.
By 10:05 a.m., six people had been removed from the ride, Williams said. No injuries have been reported.
[Updated at 12:15 p.m.: Officials initially believed 10 people were in the car.]
