Earthquake: 3.7 quake strikes near Idyllwild
A shallow magnitude 3.7 earthquake was reported Monday afternoon two miles from Idyllwild, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:44 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 11.8 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Valle Vista and 13 miles from Hemet.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
