More than 66,000 unaccompanied young immigrants have crossed into the U.S. illegally in the past fiscal year. As of July 31, 37,477 were released to sponsors across the country. Here are the states that received at least 2,000 children:
Texas: 5,280
New York: 4,244
California: 3,909
Florida: 3,809
Virginia: 2,856
Maryland: 2,804
