Iran said a Sunday visit by the U.N. nuclear chief to Tehran is aimed at implementing an agreement between Tehran and the UN nuclear watchdog.

The official IRNA news agency on Saturday quoted Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for Iran’s nuclear agency, as saying Yukiya Amano’s goal in Tehran is “preparing for implementation of the roadmap.”

Iran and the international atomic energy agency, or the IAEA, signed a confidential “road map” agreement in Vienna on further cooperation after an early July visit to Iran by Amano.

Also on Saturday, IRNA said during his visit to Tehran, Amano would probably attend a meeting of a special parliamentary committee that will be reviewing Iran’s nuclear deal.

Iran and the world powers reached a historic deal in July to curb Tehran’s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of international economic sanctions.

The West suspects Iran’s nuclear program has a secret military dimension. Iran has consistently maintained that its nuclear research is meant solely for peaceful applications like power generation and cancer treatment.
