Japan earthquake: Flights to and from Japan canceled at LAX due to disaster

Fifteen Friday and early Saturday flights to and from Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda airports were canceled Friday at Los Angeles International Airport due to the devastating Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

An LAX spokesman said terminals affected by the cancellations had few stranded passengers because airlines were able to notify ticket holders well in advance of scheduled takeoff times.

The flights that have been canceled are:

Delta 284 from Narita, Delta 283 to Narita.

All Nippon Airways 006 from Narita, All Nippon Airways 5 to Narita.

Japan Airlines 62 from Narita, Japan Airlines 61 to Narita.

Delta 636 from Haneda, Delta 635 to Haneda.

American Airlines 170 from Narita, American Airlines 169 to Narita.

United Airlines 890 from Narita, United Airlines 891 to Narita.

Korean Airlines 1 from Narita.

All Nippon Airways 1006 from Haneda. All Nippon Airways 1005 to Haneda.
