Oklahoma City man arrested in H.B. jewelry store heist
An Oklahoma man was arrested in connection with a jewelry store robbery in Huntington Beach.
Willie Thompson Jr., 51, was arrested Thursday in Oklahoma City along with Melvin Louis Andrews Jr., 48, according to Oklahoma City police. Both are suspected of robbing a jewelry store in Los Gatos, southwest of San Jose, of $1 million worth of jewelry, police said. Authorities allege that Thompson also is linked to a Huntington Beach robbery that occurred Oct. 10, 2012, at Isabella’s Fine Jewelry at 16917 Algonquin St.
The Los Gatos Police Department contacted Oklahoma City police last week asking for help in finding Thompson and Andrews. Officials with those departments and the FBI participated in the arrests, police said.
