Watch Donald Trump say he packs heat

Donald Trump is not particularly fond of gun-free zones, which he called “target practice for the sickos and for the mentally ill.”

In fact, he said during Wednesday night’s Republican debate in Boulder, Colo., that he sometimes packs a gun to protect against such people. He expounded on his belief that there would be fewer victims of mass shootings if others did the same.

Then he talked about his gun-carrying habits.

“I do carry on occasion, sometimes a lot,” he said. “But I like to be unpredictable so that people don't know exactly.”

Nobody is accusing Trump of being predictable.
