Barbara Walters wishes Star Jones ‘a speedy recovery’

Former co-host of “The View,” Star Jones, is recovering from heart surgery performed Wednesday.

When Jones was a teenager she developed a tumor in her chest and underwent a rare procedure to remove it. Jones, who will turn 48 on Wednesday (Mar. 24) is at home recovering after having a follow-up surgery.

On Monday’s episode of “The View,” Barbara Walters took a moment to mention Jones’ surgery. “We just want her to know we wish her well,” Walters says. “We wish her a speedy recovery, and she is in all our thoughts.”
