Pet of the Week: Preston

Share

Pleading eyes are typical of beagles, and Preston’s sad gaze belies his sunny personality.

Arriving last month as a stray, this charmer is eager for walks, but he is polite — not barking or jumping to gain attention. He is well-mannered around other dogs and lies contentedly in his kennel. His gray-tinged muzzle signals the maturity of some 8 years. Yet, there’s still bounce in his step and delight in being petted.

Preston is healthy and evidently housebroken and will be neutered upon adoption. At 35 pounds, he is heavy for a beagle, suggesting a larger breed in the mix and perhaps some middle-aged spread. Beagles are notorious for overeating when owners can’t refuse those eyes. Caution around the holidays is advised, and home for the holidays is where Preston would love to be.

His adoption fees are reduced 25% all week with mention of this announcement. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com.
