3 arrested, 1 hurt after argument and stabbing in Huntington Beach

Three people have been arrested after a stabbing Sunday afternoon in Huntington Beach that left one person injured, according to police.

Two men and a woman were in a car at the 24 Hour Fitness, at 303 Third St., when they got into an argument with two people walking down the street, according to police. One of the pedestrians, a 17-year-old boy, was stabbed when the disagreement escalated into a physical altercation between the two groups, police said.

Police responded to the scene just after 4 p.m.

The vehicle’s occupants fled but were quickly located by officers and detained, police said.

After an investigation, police said, they arrested Jessica Roman, 27, and Martin Roman, 25, both of Lake Forest; and Arthur Roman, 28, of Tinley Park, Ill., on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery. Arthur Roman is a police officer in Illinois, Huntington Beach police said. All three were released on bond and the investigation is continuing, police said.
