Except for perhaps a spot in the bullpen, there were no real surprises Friday when the Dodgers unveiled their 25-man roster for their National League division series against the New York Mets.

Juan Nicasio finished his first full season as a reliever with a 3.86 earned-run average, but that wasn’t enough to land him a place on the team.

Instead of Nicasio, who posted a 9.00 ERA over his last 12 appearances, the Dodgers went with the likes of Pedro Baez, Yimi Garcia and Joel Peralta.

Sidelined for significant parts of the season with a neck injury, the 39-year-old Peralta returned from the disabled list in September and had a 2.00 ERA in 12 games.

Yasiel Puig and Enrique Hernandez, who returned from strained hamstrings in the final days of the regular season, made the team. So did platoon outfielder Justin Ruggiano, who was acquired in a minor-league trade with the Seattle Mariners on Aug. 31.

The middle of the infield will include players on both extremes of the age spectrum, including 21-year-old rookie Corey Seager along with 36-year-old Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley.

A notable exclusion was infielder Alex Guerrero, who spent the entire season on the major league roster. Guerrero hit 11 home runs, but batted only .190 after June 1.
