Update: Galaxy midfielder Chris Birchall returns after serving a one-game suspension, but fellow midfielder Jovan Kirovski is out after receiving a red card in the last game. Landon Donovan, who missed Saturday’s 1-1 tie with D.C. United because of a bruised right knee, was listed as questionable by the Galaxy on Tuesday because of inflammation in the knee. Toronto is coming off a 1-1 tie with the San Jose Earthquakes in a game that saw former Galaxy forward Alan Gordon score his second goal of the season for the Canadian team. Toronto Coach Aron Winter, a former Dutch international, said his team is well aware that David Beckham has set up three of the Galaxy’s five goals this season. “David is still one of the best players in the world with a lot of special qualities,” Winter said, “and you have to be always aware of players like that.” Beckham also has a league-high four yellow cards and will be suspended if he receives one more.
