Update: Goalie Jonathan Quick is scheduled to start for the Kings, who were 2-0-1 in the first segment of 10 straight road games. Five of their next six games will be against Eastern teams, and they’re 8-5-0 against the East this season. This will be the Kings’ first visit to the Consol Energy Center. They were 25-40-10-0 at the Civic Arena. Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin is scheduled to undergo surgery Thursday to repair torn ligaments in his right knee and is expected to be out six months. Center Sidney Crosby remains out indefinitely because of a concussion and winger Chris Kunitz missed the Penguins’ game Tuesday because of a lower-body injury. Forward Matt Cooke will begin serving a four-game suspension for hitting Columbus’ Fedor Tyutin from behind on Tuesday.
