Up next for the Kings: Saturday vs. Colorado
When: 1 p.m.
Where: Staples Center.
On the air: TV: FS West; Radio: 1150.
Records: Kings 34-23-4, Avalanche 26-28-7.
Record vs. Avalanche: 2-0-0.
Update: The Kings are looking to win their fourth in a row at home and solidify their playoff position among the top eight in the West. The Kings are 10-1-3 since Jan. 22 and 6-0-1 in their last seven games against Colorado. The Avalanche has struggled all season, particularly in net. Brian Elliott, acquired from Ottawa last week, was unimpressive in his debut Wednesday in a 5-1 loss to Edmonton. Backup Peter Budaj, who has a 2.70 goals-against average in nine appearances against the Kings, could find himself in net Saturday.
