Up next for UCLA: Arizona on Saturday
UCLA VS. No. 11 ARIZONA
When: 6.
Where: Pauley Pavilion.
On the air: TV: ESPN; Radio: 570.
Records: UCLA 21-7 overall, 11-4 Pac-12; Wildcats 23-5, 11-5.
Update: UCLA is expecting to have both Travis Wear and Shabazz Muhammad — the Bruins’ top two scorers — in the starting lineup. Wear sat out the last two games because of a sprained right foot. “He will get all warmed up and ready to roll,” Coach Ben Howland said of Wear. “I don’t want him to sit first four minutes and let it tighten up.” Muhammad sprained his left ankle against Arizona State on Wednesday and, “it swelled up more than we anticipated,” Howland said. But, the coach added that Muhammad “won’t even think about not playing.” The Bruins beat the Wildcats, 84-73, in Tucson. It was one of only two Pac-12 games in which UCLA had a rebounding advantage (45-44). Arizona guard Mark Lyons is in a slump, shooting 32% the last six games. The Wildcats are 3-3 in that stretch.
