On Wednesday, Lakers’ affiliate player Jabari Brown was named a NBA Development League all-star.

Brown, a shooting guard out of Missouri, joined the D-Fenders (9-20) after getting cut by the Lakers late in the preseason.

The D-League All-Star game is set for Feb. 15 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., home of the Nets.

Brown is the league’s third-leading scorer at 22.9 points a game. Last month, he scored 50 points in the D-Fenders’ 124-99 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce -- leading to a D-League “Performer of the Week” honor.

The Lakers have three affiliate players with the D-Fenders who went through training camp with the team.

Forward Roscoe Smith is averaging 20.1 points and 12.1 rebounds a game, while shooting 56.0% from the field. Point guard Keith Appling is at 9.6 and 4.2, respectively, while shooting 34.9%.

The Lakers have also sent four regular-season players to the D-Fenders this season. Jordan Clarkson has five appearances, averaging 22.6 points and 7.8 assists.

Xavier Henry played twice with the D-Fenders before being cut after an Achilles injury. He averaged 26 points with three assists.

Tarik Black and Ryan Kelly each played once with the D-Fenders, Black scored 23 points with 12 rebounds; Kelly put up 30 points with four boards.
