Steve Nash played Friday after a long absence but reinjured the damaged nerves in his back and probably won’t play Sunday against Orlando.

“I’m thinkin’ doubtful,” said Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni, who added that Nash might return Tuesday against New York.

Nash had five points and 11 assists in 19 minutes against Washington but left with 2:14 to play after reinjuring his back. He has played only 11 games this season.

With Xavier Henry also sidelined, the Lakers are back down to one healthy point guard (Kendall Marshall). Kent Bazemore and Jodie Meeks will be backup point guards for now.

Henry says he will be back sooner than later despite sustaining a torn ligament in his wrist Friday against Washington.

“He’s saying to me he’s going to play,” D’Antoni said. “He said, ‘I’m playing Tuesday’ but I’m sure the doctors will tell him what he’s going to do.”

Henry is seeing a hand specialist Monday to determine the severity of his injury.
