On Saturday, the International Olympic Committee made its choice for the 2020 Olympic Games.

The final three cities were Istanbul; Madrid, Spain; and Tokyo.

Lakers center-forward Pau Gasol had been helping Spain’s bid committee and made the trip to Buenos Aires for the International Olympic Committee’s vote.

The winner was made known via Twitter.
