Good news, hockey fans: The mullet is coming back.tmpplchld Florida Panthers winger and future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr told the Miami Herald on Monday afternoon he has begun the process of growing his hair out and is plans to bring back his famed mullet “business in the front, party in the back” hairstyle from his early NHL days.tmpplchld “We have to wear helmets, so that’s why I’m growing my hair back out,” the 43-year-old Jagr said. “I’m growing it back. I have to.”tmpplchld Jagr was egged on by Panthers’ goalie Roberto Luongo _ another future Hall of Famer _ to bring the mullet back via his popular @strombone1 Twitter account a few weeks ago.tmpplchld After the Herald tweeted out Jagr’s comment, Luongo replied with “Guys, we did it!!!”tmpplchld With the flowing locks from 1990-99, Jagr won a pair of Stanley Cups with the Penguins, led the NHL in scoring three times and had his best season (149 points in 1995-96).tmpplchld The Panthers would be happy with anything near that type of production.tmpplchld Although Jagr’s mullet isn’t intact just yet, “it’s getting there,” he said with a smile, saying he has started to grow the hair out in the back.tmpplchld The front, well, that he can trim.tmpplchld ___tmpplchld (c)2015 Miami Heraldtmpplchld Visit Miami Herald at www.miamiherald.comtmpplchld Distributed by Tribune Content Agency, LLC.tmpplchld
