Update: This matchup of the bottom-two teams in Major League Soccer’s Western Conference originally was scheduled for Sunday but was moved back a day to accommodate San Jose’s play in the CONCACAF Champions League. In the first game of three regular-season meetings this season, the teams played to a 2-2 tie at StubHub Center on April 27. Chivas USA finally ended its 14-game winless streak with a 1-0 win over Toronto FC on July 17 but then lost 2-1 to Seattle in its most recent match.
