Once again, the youth of the world will have Lindsey Vonn as their representative.
The International Olympic Committee announced Tuesday that it had selected Vonn to reprise her role as ambassador to the 2016 Youth Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway.
The Olympic champion skier and girlfriend to Tiger Woods served in the same capacity for the 2012 Youth Games in Innsbruck, Austria.
“It is amazing to be back for more,” Vonn said in a statement released by the IOC, adding that Innsburck “was such an inspirational event, not just to the young athletes there, but also for the kids watching.”
Fellow skier Kjetil Jansrud will also be an ambassador. Athletes including Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Yao Ming and Michelle Wie have previously served in the role.
