UCLA’s Brett Hundley works back slowly from finger injury

UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley resumed practice with the Bruins on Friday morning, three weeks after leaving the Stanford game with an injured finger.
Hundley threw this week for the first time since the game. The swelling has gone down on the index finger of his throwing hand. He will be limited in practice for a few days, but is expected to play against Kansas State in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Jan. 2.
Coach Jim Mora said on Thursday that Hundley was “fine.” That was confirmed when the Bruins returned to practice in a steady rain on Friday.
UCLA will practice Saturday, then take next week off because of finals.
