Powdery slopes draw skiers to Waterman despite obstacles including road closure

Recent storms gave Mt. Waterman Ski Resort enough snow to open to the public on Presidents Day, but road closures prevented its ski patrol team from showing up, so determined skiers and snowboarders climbed the mountain unassisted to take advantage of the powdery conditions.

The La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Float Assn. is wrapping up its 2019 Rose Parade float entry, “Tree Frog Night,” with a flurry of excitement at their decorating site.
